1. Overview
Bahria University is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic, and experienced individual to serve as the Principal for the BU Medical College in Karachi.

2. Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

• a. Academic Credentials: Qualification and experience as a Professor with Level-III qualification, in accordance with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) requirements.

• b. Research Leadership: A strong record of publications in Q1 and Q2 indexed journals. Demonstrated ability to lead, promote, and implement high-impact interdisciplinary research initiatives, particularly through the practical application and integration of AI in Medical Sciences.

• c. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of contemporary teaching methodologies and regulations set by PM&DC, Higher Education Commission (HEC), College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), and other relevant health regulatory bodies.

• d. Leadership & Management: Demonstrated academic, administrative, and managerial leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and manage faculty and administrative staff.

• e. Institutional Administration: Proven experience in institutional administration, including financial planning, budget management, and effective resource utilization.

• f. Quality Assurance: Expertise in quality assurance, accreditation processes, regulatory compliance, and the continuous enhancement of academic standards.

• g. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with institutional and external stakeholders.

3. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• a. Strategic Planning: Developing and executing strategic plans for the College that align with the University's vision, mission, and institutional goals.

• b. Academic Culture: Cultivating a culture of academic excellence, discipline, research, and innovation among faculty and students.

• c. Research & Innovation: Providing strategic leadership to promote high-quality research, spearhead publications in Q1 and Q2 journals, and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and practical AI applications in Medical Sciences.

• d. Accreditation: Planning, coordinating, and following up on accreditation visits by relevant bodies to ensure the successful accreditation of academic programs.

• e. Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to University policies, regulations, and standards to promote a compliant and ethical academic environment.

• f. Relationship Management: Fostering strong relationships with faculty, students, alumni, professional bodies, and other academic and healthcare institutions.

• g. Operational Excellence: Ensuring professional excellence and continuous improvement in all academic, administrative, and operational functions of the College.

• h. Additional Duties: Performing any other duties assigned by competent University Authorities.
