Candidates who successfully registered should check their ETC accounts for their examination documents and any updated instructions.

The first four LAT examinations took place earlier in 2026. HEC announced the result of the September examination on 16 October 2026, while the November sitting remains the final examination listed for the year. Students should use the correct examination session when checking their roll number slips, results or registration records.
Online registration for the November 2026 Law Admission Test opened on 4 October and had an advertised closing date of 20 October 2026. The registration period has now ended. Candidates who completed their applications before the deadline should verify that the application status is Submitted in the ETC portal. HEC's registration instructions explain that payment verification is required before the final submitted status appears.
Students who did not register for the November examination should wait for the next official LAT registration announcement. For detailed instructions about ETC accounts, application forms and payment confirmation, refer to the HEC LAT registration process.
According to the ETC calendar, roll number slips for the November 2026 LAT are scheduled for Friday, 6 November 2026. Registered candidates should check their ETC accounts and follow the current instructions for accessing their examination slips. The slip contains important information, including the examination centre and reporting instructions.
Open the HEC ETC portal at etc.hec.gov.pk.
Sign in using your registered ETC account details.
Check the relevant LAT application and examination announcements.
Open the roll number slip facility when it becomes available.
Download and print your slip, then check your name, identification details, examination centre and reporting time.
If the slip is unavailable on the scheduled date, candidates should check the official ETC notices for updated instructions. Where necessary, they can report problems through the HEC online help portal. Further examination-related updates are available through the LAT date sheet.
The official HEC calendar provides a separate result announcement date for each of the five LAT sessions. The September 2026 examination result was announced on 16 October 2026.
For the final November LAT, the result is scheduled to be announced on Thursday, 24 December 2026. This is the published calendar date and should not be confused with an already announced result. Candidates can check the HEC LAT results for result-related information and the official ETC portal for their individual examination records.
Candidates who missed the November LAT registration deadline cannot assume that late applications will be accepted. The November examination is the last LAT sitting listed in the 2026 annual calendar.
As of 4 November 2026, HEC's official ETC calendar page does not list a 2027 LAT examination schedule. Students should wait for a new announcement rather than relying on predicted dates. Meanwhile, candidates can use the LAT paper pattern to understand the examination structure and review LAT past papers for practice.
Students who have registered for the November examination should prepare their required documents and check their assigned examination arrangements carefully.

The HEC Law Admission Test carries 100 marks, with 75 multiple-choice questions and a 25-mark written section. Candidates need at least 50 marks out of 100 to pass. The objective section covers English, General Knowledge, Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Urdu and Basic Mathematics. The written section consists of an essay and a personal statement. Students can review the complete LAT paper pattern 2026 and access LAT test preparation material to practise according to the official marks distribution.
Students who have completed HSSC or an equivalent 12-year qualification are eligible to apply for the Law Admission Test. Candidates who have appeared in their final HSSC or equivalent examinations and are awaiting results are also covered under HEC's published eligibility conditions.
The LAT is intended for students seeking admission to undergraduate law programmes. Qualifying for the examination does not guarantee university admission, because institutions also apply their academic and merit requirements. For complete academic requirements, read the LAT eligibility criteria.
