The Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) released its SSC (Matric) annual result 2026 in August 08, 2026. AKU-EB is a private national examination board, not a BISE board, and results are checked through its own online system at examinationboard.aku.edu or through your school. The overall national top spot went to two students on 1074 out of 1100: Muhammad Saad Nasir of Korangi Academy, Karachi, and Yumna Wajeeh of P.E.C.H.S. Girls School, Karachi.

Two Karachi students shared the national first position at SSC level: Muhammad Saad of Korangi Academy and Yumna Wajeeh of P.E.C.H.S. Girls’ School. Regional SSC first positions went to Muneefa Ahmad of Maryam Siddiqa Girls Higher Secondary School in Chenab Nagar (Punjab), Kawish Mir of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gahkuch in Ghizer (Gilgit-Baltistan), and Noman Hashim of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Chitral (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).
The spread is the story. Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan each recorded eight regional overall position holders, Punjab seven and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa six. For the full merit lists, use the board’s High Achievers page.
AKU-EB is a national examination board run by the Aga Khan University. It is not a provincial BISE board. Its papers lean toward concepts and Student Learning Outcomes rather than memorised answers, and it has its own calendar. That is why your classmates at a BISE school may be waiting while AKU-EB students already have marks. Don’t compare dates between the two.
Re-checking. AKU-EB has its own re-checking procedure, with a form on its website. The fee and the deadline are set by the board, so read both on the portal before you pay. Don’t rely on a figure copied from a blog.
Re-sit. The board’s results portal lists re-sit examinations alongside annual results (for example, SSC Part II re-sit sessions in earlier years). I couldn’t confirm 2026 re-sit dates, so watch the board’s notices for the schedule.
