BSCS Fee Structure 2026: University Wise Fees and 4 Year Cost

Check BSCS fee 2026 in Pakistan: per semester and per credit hour fee structure of public and private universities, 4 year cost and scholarships.

BSCS Fee Structure 2026: University-Wise Fees and 4-Year Cost

BSCS fees in Pakistan run from about Rs. 25,000 per semester at lower-cost public seats to roughly Rs. 100,000–230,000 for the first semester at private universities. Over four years, that is about Rs. 200,000–760,000 at the public and self-supporting programs listed here, and about Rs. 780,000 to Rs. 1.75 million at private universities that charge per credit hour. Lower figures exist, for example at the University of Karachi and in distance programs, so use this page as a comparison and confirm the current fee on each university’s own page before you apply.

How BSCS Fees Are Charged

Universities charge in one of two ways. Some set a flat fee per semester. Others charge per credit hour, so your semester bill depends on how many credit hours you take, usually 15 to 17 in the first semester. That is why two universities with similar per-credit rates can have very different semester bills.

Admission also brings one-time charges: an admission fee, a security deposit (usually refundable), and sometimes lab, library or endowment charges. These are separate from tuition.

Lower-cost options not in this table. Some public universities and distance programs cost less than the lowest row above. The University of Karachi and the Virtual University are examples; check their own fee pages. Fees for FAST, NUST, COMSATS, Punjab University, UET and UMT are not listed here, because they must come from each university’s current official sheet.

How to Calculate Your Total BSCS Cost

Per-credit-hour universities: total credit hours × rate + one-time charges.
Per-semester universities: semester fee × 8 + one-time charges.

Step

Per credit hour

Per semester

Formula

Credit hours × rate + one-time charges

Semester fee × 8 + one-time charges

Worked example

KIET: 137 × 8,860 + 30,000

IIUI: 8 × 92,980 + 16,500

Result

Rs. 1,243,820

Rs. 760,340

At UBAS, 137 × 12,000 = 1,644,000, plus 25,000 admission, gives 1,669,000. These are estimates: annual fee increases, repeated courses and extra credit hours push real totals up.

What Else Adds to the Cost

Hostel and living costs. Hostels are billed separately and vary by university and room type. Budget for food and transport as well.

Exam, library and development charges. Some universities fold these into the semester fee; others list them separately. Read the fee sheet line by line before comparing totals.

BSCS Scholarships and Fee Concessions

Many universities offer merit and need-based support. Public universities often have HEC-backed need-based aid, and private universities may reduce tuition for strong intermediate marks or test results. See current programs on the undergraduate scholarships page, and check deadlines on the BSCS admissions page. Confirm eligibility on the BSCS eligibility criteria page. To compare universities by city, see the BSCS universities list. New to the degree? Read what BSCS covers.
