Your B.Ed route in Lahore depends on what you already hold. After FA/FSc you apply for the 4-year B.Ed. With a 14-year qualification you look at the 2.5-year route. A 16-year degree in a non-education subject leads to the 1.5-year B.Ed. These are the routes described on our B.Ed eligibility criteria page, and each university sets its own marks cut-off and merit formula.
The main Fall 2026 windows have mostly closed. At the University of Education (UE), the final submission date for BS, B.Ed and BS 5th Semester was 20 July 2026, with regular classes starting 1 September 2026. The 1.5-year B.Ed closed earlier, on 12 June 2026. UE then ran a second round: Phase II started on 18 September 2026 and first merit lists came out on 29 September. LCWU also posted a Phase II notice listing B.Ed and B.Ed Special Education.
The next big window is Spring 2027. For reference, last year UE’s Spring notice was posted 6 January 2026 with a last date of 9 January 2026, and UOL’s spring deadline was 31 January 2026. That suggests December–January, but no university guarantees this, so watch for the official notice.
| What you have now | Route | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| FA / FSc / ICS / I.Com (12 years) | 4-year B.Ed (8 semesters) | Direct route after Intermediate |
| ADE (Associate Degree in Education) | 4-year B.Ed from the 5th semester | Minimum marks vary; AIOU asks for 50% |
| 14 years of education (BA/BSc) | 2.5-year B.Ed, or 4-year B.Ed after a bridging semester | The university decides the bridging courses |
| 16 years (BS, MA or MSc) outside education | 1.5-year B.Ed (3 semesters) | Second division or equivalent is typical |
These routes and the 45–50% usual range for entry-level programs come from the HEC-based framework described on our eligibility page. If you already hold MA Education, M.Ed or BS Education, you generally don’t need a separate B.Ed.
This list shows institutions that appeared in recent admission notices, listings or accreditation records. Programs and campuses change by session, so confirm before applying.
| Institution | Sector | B.Ed options seen in sources |

| Lahore Leads University | Private | B.Ed, 4 years |
Other Lahore institutions, including Kinnaird College, Fazaia College of Education for Women, Punjab College Campus-09 and Government Graduate College for Women Gulberg, appear in NACTE’s accredited-program records. See the accreditation section below. For a national view, use our B.Ed colleges and universities page.
For the 4-year route, universities usually ask for Intermediate or equivalent with around 45–50%. UE’s Spring 2026 criteria list a 50% minimum in Intermediate, while NUML Lahore lists 45% for its B.Ed (Hons). Some programs add an entry test or interview. The full breakdown is on our B.Ed eligibility criteria page. googlenuml
Fees depend on route, sector and whether the seat is regular or self-supporting. Reference points from our B.Ed fee structure page:
Compare totals, not first-semester figures. A 1.5-year program has three semesters and a 4-year program has eight.
Merit is aggregate-based and changes every session. As a reference point, the first Fall 2026 merit lists at the University of the Punjab ranged from 92.29 down to 73.32 (morning) and 85.59 down to 57.65 (self-supporting) for the 4-year program, and from 100 to 80.75 (morning) and 96 to 69 (self-supporting) for the 1.5-year program. Use these only as a rough guide, then check the live lists on our B.Ed merit lists page.
If you work during the day, a distance route may fit. Virtual University lists a 1.5-year B.Ed under Lahore, and AIOU’s first-semester fee for its B.Ed programs is Rs. 30,670 (Autumn 2026), with the 1.5-year program running three semesters and 54 credit hours. Teaching practice remains face to face, so ask how it’s arranged.
Several Lahore options exist: UE and UOL both list special education B.Ed tracks, LCWU lists B.Ed Special Education, and the Government Training Colleges for Teachers of the Blind and Deaf offer B.Ed (Hons) programs. The eligibility line can differ from the general B.Ed, so read the program entry.
NACTE publishes a list of accredited programs, and Lahore institutions appear in it, including Kinnaird College, Fazaia College of Education for Women and Punjab College Campus-09. Before paying any fee, check that your specific program and campus appear on the list and that its validity hasn’t expired. A college name alone isn’t proof.
A B.Ed opens government and private teaching posts, school leadership and education-support roles. Our B.Ed jobs and scope page covers salaries and how to apply, and our subjects list shows what you’ll study. If you are comparing cities, see our B.Ed pages for Islamabad, Karachi and Faisalabad, or the national B.Ed admissions page.
